The Importance of Tip & Belt Testing
Any student who has participated in at least one month of karate is eligible to earn a black tip for their belt. Student’s who have earned two black tips are eligible to earn a new colored belt.
At Alpha Martial Arts, karate is about much more than learning to punch and kick. One of the reasons regular tip and belt testing is so important is because it teaches students how to set and achieve short – medium – and long term goals.
Short = Black Tips
Medium = Colored Belts
Long = Black Belt
The tip and belt system serves as motivation, reward and recognition for your child’s success. I know of no other activity outside of school which provides this level of recognition for your child’s hard work. By listening & trying their best in class, and practicing what they learn at home, students learn good study habits. Study habits that help them succeed in school and in life!
