Exceptional Staff = Exceptional Students!
This week I spent Monday afternoon at the Laurelhurst Community Center conducting stripe & belt testing for Miss Mackenzie’s students. Everyone did an outstanding job, which is a testament to their hard work and Miss Mackenzie’s skills as a teacher. It was a real pleasure for me to see her students excel during their test and to hear all of the positive feedback from parents. Miss Mackenzie began our Instructor Training Program in January of 2004 and has been doing an outstanding job running our Laurelhurst program.
I also had the pleasure of returning to our school Monday evening and hearing great things from students who had just completed their Juniors Intermediate/Advanced class with Mr. Ness. Lots of smiling faces and sweaty uniforms! Mr. Ness has been assisting with the Juniors classes on Friday’s since September of 2004 and joined the Instructor Training Program in April of 2005. With eight years of Kenpo under his belt, he has been an exceptional student of mine for the last several years and is now part of our exceptional staff.
I take great pride in selecting, hiring and training the best people to join the Alpha Martial Arts Staff and work with our students and families. The curriculum, lesson plans and staff training systems that we use every day are building successful students and successful instructors. We are a TEAM, and as members of our Leadership & Instructor Training Programs will tell you; being part of a TEAM means: Together Everyone Achieves More.
