October Powerful Word – DILIGENCE – Week 4

This week, we’re talking about diligence, rewards, and consequences. All goals have rewards– and they take diligence and hard work to achieve. As Samuel Johnson once said; “If your determination is fixed, I do not counsel you to despair. Few things are impossible to diligence and skill. Great works are performed not by strength, but perseverance.” What does this say to you? How can we explain what is required to reap the rewards of a stated goal? Do all tasks required diligence and how do we know the difference? As leaders, how can we explain the consequence of lack of diligence and rewards for buckling down with regard to important goals? This week, your Powerful Thought Assignment is to think through how you could inspire diligence in someone who looks to you for leadership. What would you say or do?
