Tuesday Teens & Adults – Anger Management W2

Week 2: This week we’re talking about strategies to manage anger. As leaders, we need to be able to manage our own anger and also help those younger than us to learn to manage their anger as well. Typically, how people react in anger makes the situation so much worse than if they stayed calm. An old Chinese Proverb says; “If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow.” What strategies do you use– or encourage others to use– in order to stay calm and patient in the face of anger? This week, your Powerful Thought Assignment is to get honest with yourself. Are you consistently using anger management techniques to calm yourself down while angry or are you allowing your anger to take control of your actions?
