Tuesday Teens & Adults – Anger Management W3

Week 3: This week, we’re talking about thinking things through and considering the opportunities, possibilities, and solutions to the problems that make us angry. When we can let go of our resentment, it’s easier to think. Orator, Robert G. Ingersoll, warned; “Anger blows out the lamp of the mind,” meaning that our mind gets clogged and clouded with vengeful, unproductive thoughts when we are angry, making it challenging to solve the problem or even go as far as to forgive. How can we help our friends, family, and those who we are leading to be solution-oriented rather than resentment-oriented? How do you work through solutions when you get angry? This week, your Powerful Thought Assignment is to think about something that is currently angering you. Think through some possible solutions. What was the process? Next, try helping someone else, like a friend, family member, or child to do the same.
