Tuesday Teens & Adults – Commitment W2

Week 2: This week we’re talking about what helps us to stay committed and what pushes us to quit. What are some things that really inspire people to stay committed to a task, job, or goal? As leaders, when someone is really in the thick of it and the goal seems to be all uphill, how can we help them push through? Author, Napoleon Hill, wrote; “Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit.” We must connect success with commitment.

What are some things (internal or external struggles or influences) that can really get in the way of progress and make someone want to quit? How can we deal with that? How have you stayed committed even when times got tough? This week, your Powerful Thought Assignment is to get honest with yourself. Are you staying as committed to your task, goals, and jobs as you should? Are there any changes you need to make? Any distractions or poor influences you must deal with?
