Tuesday Teens & Adults – Self Control W3

Week 3: This week we’re talking about rectifying our mistakes when we do indeed lose control. We all lose control sometimes. Even those of us who discuss character education and try our best to live by our values make mistakes and say or do the wrong thing. As Benjamin Franklin once said; “Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.” Do you find yourself sometimes wishing you didn’t say something or do something due to momentary lack of self control? As leaders, how do we help others deal with the aftermath? How do you? This week, your Powerful Thought Assignment is to think about at least one thing you said or did in a moment of low self control. Can you rectify it? What can you do? Can you do it now?
